What Causes Premature Ejaculation?

 Why are a lot of men struggle with lasting during sex and what you can do right away to start lasting longer in bed? Understanding ejaculation control and some of the common causes of premature ejaculation, it's important to understand the human nervous system. Don't worry I won't get too technical with this, but it is some important information that you want to know.


There's the parasympathetic nervous system and the sympathetic nervous system. The sympathetic nervous system is the fight-or-flight response. It's primarily dominant when we're feeling stressed, when we're feeling fearful, afraid for our lives and a lot  of people in this modern world are stressed out. There's a lot of anxieties, a lot of fears, and this is causing many people to be completely stuck in a sympathetic nervous system. The fight-or-flight response and the ejaculation function is connected directly to the sympathetic nervous system.


The parasympathetic nervous system is the rest and digest response. When we feel at ease, when we feel calm, we feel relaxed, we're primarily functioning in that parasympathetic state. Understanding this already gives you an advantage of how to start lasting longer during

bed because the ejaculation response is linked to the sympathetic nervous system. When you're stuck in that fight or flight state, when you're living in patterns of stress, hypertension, or fear, when you're not getting enough sleep, you're running off of caffeine, then you're primarily in the sympathetic nervous system, meaning that when you start to engage in sex you're already switched on that fight-or-flight response so ejaculation is going to happen almost immediately. 


Statistically, worldwide the average man lasts about five minutes during sex before ejaculating and I think that this is very much linked to the fact that a lot of men are over-stressed, they're functioning in that fight-or-flight state,

So what is the easiest way to keep

yourself in the parasympathetic nervous system? Deep breathing, deep belly breathing. Most people are breathing from their chest, they're bringing these very shallow breaths because their body's locked up with tension. They're unable to relax their belly to breathe down into it so the most simple way to keep yourself in the parasympathetic state is to do some deep belly breathing practices.

 So just place your hands on your belly and take a deep breath. Inhale and exhale. Feel the belly contract as you exhale without excessive tension. As you inhale, feel the belly expand. This may feel like a new type of breathing to you if you're not used to this. These kinds of calming breathing practices are really important to do every day whenever you're feeling stressed, you

feel like you're in that sympathetic fight-or-flight mode, do some calm abdominal breathing, it gets you out of your head and into your body and you can use this right away to start lasting longer during sex.
